Learning to drive is about sharing the road with others and knowing the risks you face as a driver. It’s a journey that takes years to master.

As Queensland is transitioning away from the traditional written road rules test to PrepL, we have encountered many problems for our mob to accessing the online learning and assessment program to gain a learner licence.

We guide you through the PrepL, the three most important parts of learning to drive safely.

The three sections you need to complete to gain access to the learner test. Each section requires you to complete quizzes, activities and challenges.

    The Queensland Transport Department PrepL is designed to develop a stronger understanding of the road rules and licensing requirements, and to embed safe attitudes and behaviours in those about to drive on Queensland roads.

    We facilitate a full day session to help access and navigate the Department of Transport’s PrepL Online. Our ‘Cultural Learner Licence Program’ comes with benefits and eligibility criteria. These are:

    • Funded 3-year learner licence and PrepL access fee
    • 3 hours of paid driving lessons with Murri’s on the Move Driving School Ltd (Service area Sunshine Coast/Moreton Bay/Cherbourg/Murgon)
    • Referral to PCYC’s ‘Braking the Cycle Learner Driver Mentoring Program’

    Participants outside of our service area are welcome to attend however licence fees and lessons will need to be self-funded or paid by another source (i.e. job provider, support service, etc.).

     

    Requirements before registering for the Cultural Learner Licence Program

    Step 1

    To enrol in the program you must be:

    • At least 16 years of age;
    • and have a Queensland residential address

    Step 2

    Visit a Transport and Main Roads

    You need to visit the Department of Transport customer service centre to: –

    • have your photo taken,
    • they will also capture your digital signature,
    • verify your identity using original documents,
    • show proof of the Queensland address, where you live.

    We will facilitate a full day session to help access and navigate Department of Transport’s PrepL Online
