THE PROGRAM
Murri’s on the Move aim to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to become safe learner drivers in the community.

The program aims at ‘Closing the Gap’ however we also want to be inclusive therefore any participant who have needs or barriers (unemployed, anxiety, depression, disabilities etc) to getting their driving licence normally, we can offer our program to them also. Participants will need to be aged 16 years or older. You will need to provide 100 points of identification. Please see the check list.
The comprehensive Cultural Learner Licence Program will take you through the Transport and Main Roads licensing and roads rules. You can practice your knowledge now on the Department of Transport Practice road rules test page.
This program is funded however after completing the Cultural Learner Licence Program participants will need to pay Transport and Main Roads a 3 year learner licence fee and the fee for the learner licence written test. Participants do NOT have to do the learner licence written test with Transport and Main Roads as this will be done with us on the day of the program. Murri’s on the Move will provide the participant with a ‘Notice of Attainment’ to say they have participated in our program.
Participants will have up to three months to visit TMR to complete their learner licence application. If you visit TMR outside this time frame you will need to sit the written test again.
Under the terms and conditions of our agreement with Transport Safety Grant, Murri’s on the Move have to provide evidence of our program delivery.
We will be seeking participant’s permission to sign consent forms to take photographic evidence.
